Before we begin cleaning we perform a patch test of the detergent and the process in hidden spot on the upholstery. This determines if the process we have chosen is suitable, if no changes occur we continue with the treatment. Existing stains need to be pre-treated so we can remove them more easily once we go over with the wet vacuum. We use a detergent specific to the stain type, apply it and wait for it to do its job. Then we use a narrow nozzle and a steam jet to extract the draw and stain out any leftover impurities. Using a high powered vacuum machine we can remove up to 95% of the moisture used for the cleaning along with 100% of the gunk and filth inside. Due to the dirt cutting power of the cleaning process this cannot be used on natural materials and we recommend it be used on synthetics and wool.
We can accommodate the needs of even the gentlest of upholstery types, from velvet to sued and Kashmir and even silk. For sofas we use a foaming agent which we apply, it foams up and attaches to the affected area of the upholstery. Left to react with the stain it destroys the bond between the the fibers and stains safely, lifting it up from the textile without causing any discolorations. The foam & dirt particles are then extracted with the vacuum and the sofa is left to dry for 15 minutes.
For other upholstery kinds we are also able to use a dedicated cleaning agent used for the cleaning of natural materials. The dry agent is applied using a fine brush which embeds it into the fibers of the sofa. This, on the other hand, allows us to not only remove grime but to also neutralize the pH level of the carpet and extract any moisture that might be lingering inside. Upholstery materials like sued, sisal and velvet are extremely water sensitive and do no react well to heat. We can finally remove the stain from the upholstery, once the agent has reacted with the stain and has lifted the filthy particles up from the fabric. Using a vacuum machine we draw everything out leaving a clean upholstery, odour & blemish free. There is no drying time, the agent itself is allergen and toxin free and leaves no trace behind.
